Solid waste production has become an international concern for engineers. One of the useful solutions is the reuse of solid waste to improve construction and loose soils. Waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and fly ash (FA), which are industrial and urban wastes, are used for soil reinforcement or stabilization. The California Bearing Ratio (CBR) has been tested on Anzali sand that has been unreinforced and reinforced with Geopet with spring sizes of 1x1, 2x2, and 3x3. In addition, it is stabilized with fly ash with weight percentages of 5, 10, and 15% and sodium hydroxide as a fly ash activator. The response surface method (RSM) is also used to determine the effective relationships between fly ash percentage, Geopet layers, and their interaction with CBR. The CBR in this study was evaluated consistently and effectively using RSM. The value of the P-Value in this model is less than 0.0001, which shows the efficiency of the model. The results show that the optimal mode of using Geopet is actually Geopet with a spring size of 1x1 along with 15% of fly ash. In this case, the CBR value has increased by 2.7 times compared to the unreinforced state.
